Bain’s Kloof Pass

Bain’s Kloof Pass is a stunning scenic route from Wellington that leads to one of the small towns called Ceres. The trip has exciting moments of tall cliffs hanging right outside the vehicle’s window. Just don’t get too distracted by the captivating views…

This fun winding 18km journey though the mountains was built in the 1850’s by Andrew Geddes Bain. The pass connects three towns in the area: Wellington, Ceres and Tulbagh Valley.

The Bain’s Kloof Pass is worth adding to the list – the drive is wonderfully relaxing for the mind…and there’s a yummy lunch stop in Ceres to complete the excursion.
