Tours for Tourists

Chapel in Sneem while on Ring of Kerry Day Tour

Making use of day tours made it a lot easier and relaxing to explore. Even though the tours are there to assist tourists to get around and see areas beyond the cities and popular towns, I feel they are so informative and such fun to do for everyone. I personally love tours and what they have to offer. You get to hear unique stories, meet people from all over the world and the tours are a great introduction for those who have yet to set eyes on the landscapes and different areas.

I booked my tours on Viator (Affiliated Links on the page). Below is a list of the links of the tours I used and enjoyed:

Fun Facts while on the Small-Group Wicklow, Powerscourt and Glendalough Day Tour :

  • The Enniskerry Village Square featured in the Leap Year movie.
  • The beautifully-kept estate of Powerscourt boasts 47 acres of gardens.
  • The charismatic tour guide drove along winding roads enveloped with canopies of tree branches in the countryside. We passed over a bridge in Glendalough that was featured in the PS. I Love You movie.
  • The rolling hills of the Glendalough/Wicklow Mountains National Park were also in the films, Braveheart and Vikings.

Vintage Tea Bus Tour

This fun vintage bus tour treats passengers to cakes and tea while touring around the Dublin city. We got to hear all sorts of stories and listen to some old school retro music while passing places such as the enormous Phoenix Park and the famous Guinness factory (Fun Fact: Guinness is dark red in colour).

Cork

Booked a tour to road-trip (yes, I do love day trips and being a busy-bee) to Killarney. It was a wonderful long day out. I got to see such beautiful scenery and the countryside landscape again. It was as food-for-the-eyes as expected. We were truly blessed with such fine weather too, the day was so clear that I was lucky enough to get a glimpse of the Dingle Peninsula on the other side of the North Atlantic Ocean.

The Killarney National Park was incredibly lush with breathtaking views and has the cascading Torc Waterfall to appreciate. We also enjoyed looking out for wild animals, such as deer. And, we indeed saw some deer!
